Another one in the books! Great work everyone! 200%!

We are super excited about the how the first few days of this campaign has gone. Thank you so much for making this happen!

Oh, and by the way .. all of you were right about Marie Curie!

We had barely finished pressing the send button when the first person had correctly guessed it. Still pretty shocked about how fast you got it, @John! Pretty amazing!

You guys have crushed the first 2 stretch goals!

We have done a ton of pre-production work to create a fun, tight, gaming experience and get it into production quality before launching on Kickstarter. Our goal was to invest in our art style and shoot for the same level of quality as giant, fully funded gaming studios like Blizzard, Riot Games, and others. We wanted to prove that this subject matter could be just as awesome as those. Because of that (and requests from followers and fans), we wanted to share more of that art in the first 2 stretch goals! Congratulations everyone for moving through these so quickly!

We will be announcing some more stretch goals very soon. We’re not going to spoil everything that is coming, but we have some fun stuff planned that you will be excited for!

The core game has received a good deal of playtesting and we put everything we had into making the best version of the game. Because we intentionally did not hold back parts of the game to unlock as “stretch goals,” adding single cards to the core game could affect the gameplay experience, since it is balanced with its current card count and ratios. We have some ideas about modular card replacements/additions that will let us add more through expansions, inspiration packs, etc. 

Lastly, here is a new incoming hero! (Heroes that we are announcing are all already included in the core set at all levels! We wanted to have a little fun and not announce them all at one time.)

Let’s see if this one is as easy as the last. ;)

Stretch Goal Unlocked! Over 250%!

We did it! Over 250% and another stretch goal!

We are humbled by the amount of support we have been receiving. All the kind messages have been so thoughtful and we want you all to know how much we appreciate you!

We’ve unlocked the next stretch goal - an Expanded Rule Booklet to include hero art and snippets of info about each hero.

We have posted the next 2 stretch goals! First, a box upgrade! We have already planned to have high quality boxes and premium black core cards, so we decided to foil the logos on all the box covers as the next stretch goal! (Standard and Collector’s Editions)

For the second, we have received tons of requests for reference materials for our heroes outside of the actual cards. So … when we reach our 40k stretch goal, we are going to have a Companion STEM: Epic Heroes website built! This will be like a Lore Compendium for the “STEM: Epic Heroes” universe. It will include all STEM cards, the art, extended Hero Bios, Strategy tips, and links to further information on each of our heroes for those interested in learning more about these amazing people! This is something that could be continually updated as we build expansions.

To give you some perspective, we want to aim for a future stretch goal that would upgrade this website to a mobile app and add card scanning functionality that would allow you to point your mobile device at a card and get all of this info immediately! (of course, that would be a much more complex project, so it would have to be a higher stretch goal)

As for the incoming hero? Everyone had good guesses, but it’s Chien-Shiung Wu! (A new incoming hero has been posted to the campaign page)

We also posted all the revealed heroes to the “What’s in the box” section, for those of you that are new to STEM: Epic Heroes or have just joined us. If you’ve been with us since the beginning, you know that we have been slowly revealing heroes for the last several months. We are getting close to revealing all 30 heroes that are in the core game! Only 6 left! All of these heroes are included in both standard and collector’s editions of the game. :)

150%, Incoming Heroes, and Stretch Goals!

Wow! 

I was just about to announce Stretch Goals and had to go ahead and unlock the first one because you guys hit it while I was working on it! Amazing! Thank you so much for being apart of this campaign so far! 

First Stretch Goals are Up!

The first goal is already unlocked! A High Resolution STEM: Epic Heroes desktop and mobile wallpaper! (Coming soon) The wallpaper will feature the cover art from the Kickstarter Campaign! 

The next goal will be for 2 additional Digital Art Prints! When we reach it, all backers will be getting 5 instead of 3!

The 3rd Stretch goal that we are announcing is an Expanded Rule Booklet! This would not only include the game's rules of play, but also more information on the Epic Heroes, their abilities, and their art. This has already been mentioned a few times in messages and comments, so we are very excited about this one!

We are so excited to reveal the Heroes we have planned! Every day or so, we will be posting a new hero silhouette. See if you can guess who it is! As these Heroes are revealed they will be added to the "Meet the Heroes" Section on the campaign page!
