Dear AMAZING Backers,

You have taken STEM Epic Heroes from dream to reality...and crushed the $100k stretch goal in the process! There were a lot of people who thought it could not be done back at the $60K point, but you-- the amazing backers and supporters of this project--have proven them wrong! 

This means that all STEM players will have a free iPhone and Android companion app for scanning hero cards. We are super excited to bring this digital element to the game!

We will follow-up in the next few days with a link to the survey for the crowd-sourced hero choice (thanks everyone who nominated these fantastic choices), the language translation survey results, and what to expect next for STEM the game. Stay tuned.

We are only 3% away from the final stretch goal, with 8 hours left!

We are soooo close to unlocking the final stretch goal. Let's make this card scanning app for iPhone and Android a reality! Share this campaign one last time with your friends and followers on social media and we will hit it.

Let's fly this thing to the top!

Here is a little inspiration for us from a couple of guys who set some pretty amazing stretch goals for themselves. (And for our Brazilian backers... you will be glad to know that we are saving the Santos Dumont artwork for a fantastic expansion on flight.)   ;-)

Final hours and our last hero announcement

It's the final hours of the campaign. Tell your friends!

Thanks to all of you, our fantastic backers, STEM is now approaching 900% funding! We can't thank you all enough! We only have about 30 hours left to unlock that last stretch goal so let's keep the momentum going! The last 24 hours can yield big results in KS campaigns.

And now, Grace Hopper!

The final few days are here! Let's unlock the mobile app stretch goal!

First of all, THANK YOU backers, supporters and commentators for absolutely blowing this project up beyond our dreams! Not only have you pushed the funding amount well beyond the goal, but you have contributed literally hundreds of hero nominations, given us constructive criticism and helped us make STEM Epic Heroes better. We can't thank you enough for your excitement for this project.

We have 68 hours to go and, according to the website Kicktraq, STEM is currently projected to fund at 800-900% with $92,886 as the high range number. While this is an incredibly exciting number and well beyond the initial goal, it still leaves us about $7,000 away from our final stretch goal to unlock the mobile companion app.

Together, we can do this!

If every one of us, nearly 2,000 backers strong, will take just a few moments right now and let one other friend know about this project, then we can reach the $100k goal and add another awesome dimension to the game. 

Stop and think of just one person...maybe your coworker, family member, former classmate, anyone you know who would be stoked about playing a game with Pascal and Ada Lovelace in it.

Tomorrow we will post an update and reveal the final heroes in the deck and talk about the future beyond this Kickstarter (think expansion packs, art & storybook, add-ons, etc.).

Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto will be featured as a collectible card!

Hello Awesome Backers!

When we started STEM Epic Heroes, our goal was to celebrate and "re-imagine" the greatest minds in science, technology, engineering, and math as superheroes. As we all know, it is not uncommon for superheroes to have secret identities. Well, today we are excited to announce that Satoshi Nakamoto--the anonymous, ultra-secretive and mysterious creator of Bitcoin--will be one of the five special addition foiled cards featured in the Collector's Edition of the game!  (Read more about Satoshi Nakamoto.)

Satoshi will be included in all Collector's Edition rewards!

This added card to the Collector's Edition (available at the $39 and $49 pledge levels) was unlocked by a generous backer at the $2,500 level, who was able to choose a new hero to be added to the Collector's Edition as an additional collectible foil card. Foil cards that result from this backer level are included in ALL Collector's Editions. Pretty cool, ay!?

If you are a Bitcoin, blockchain, cryptocurrency enthusiast, and you want your very own Satoshi Nakamoto collectible card to have and to hold forever and always, be sure to pledge at one of the Collector's Edition levels. Although we may include Satoshi in future expansions, this will be a one-time only Kickstarter exclusive...so don't miss it!
